Championship Latest: West Ham Complete £1m Deal, Wolves Set For £6.4m Transfer Windfall

QPR Sign Former NAC Breda Captain

QPR have confirmed the signing of Boy Kemper on a free transfer, with the club announcing that the left back will officially join on July 1.

The 26-year-old arrives after leaving NAC Breda, where he spent three years and captained the side during his first season with the club, at the age of 24. He helped them win promotion to the Dutch top flight and built a strong reputation for commitment and leadership.

Kemper came through the Ajax youth system before moving to ADO Den Haag in 2021, and his move to Loftus Road gives QPR another option on the left side of defence. The deal is still subject to international clearance and a work permit.

“First of all, I’m excited. New club, new city, new competition – I’m looking forward to start and see all the guys,” he said.

The defender described QPR as a club with history and said the challenge of playing in England appealed to him. CEO Christian Nourry also highlighted Kemper’s tenacity, physicality, aerial ability and delivery, with the R’s adding a player who has already carried leadership responsibility at senior level.
