Championship Latest: Wrexham Sanction Striker Exit, Southampton Join Premier League Attacker Hunt

Wrexham Send Mo Faal Back To Port Vale On Loan

Wrexham striker Mo Faal is set to return to Port Vale on a season-long loan.

The 23-year-old spent part of last season at Vale Park before injury cut short his spell in January. He will now link back up with the club for the full 2026/27 campaign, giving him the chance to secure regular football away from Wrexham.

Faal joined Wrexham from West Bromwich Albion in August 2024 for an undisclosed fee and has made 16 appearances for the club. Eight of those came from the bench in League One during the 2024/25 season, while he also started seven times in the EFL Trophy.

He scored three times in that competition, finding the net against Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-21s, Port Vale and Peterborough United. After recovering from injury last season, he finished the campaign with Cheltenham Town, making eight appearances and scoring a late winner against Gillingham in April.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said last season had been disrupted for Faal and explained that the club wanted him back with Port Vale from the start of pre-season.

The move gives Faal the chance to build rhythm after an unsettled year, while Wrexham continue to shape their attacking options ahead of their own Championship campaign.
