Lincoln City have secured the futures of four senior staff members and added five new appointments to their football operation ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Goalkeeping and set-play coach David Preece, head of medical Kieran Walker, head of performance Josh Snowden and head of recruitment Joe Hutchinson have all committed their futures to the club. The quartet will continue working within the structure supporting head coaches Chris Cohen and Tom Shaw and new assistant coach Paul McShane, as the Imps prepare for their first Championship campaign following promotion.
Sporting director Jez George praised the contribution made by the four staff members and highlighted their importance to the club’s work behind the scenes.
“We are equally pleased that David, Joe, Josh and Kieran have committed their futures to the club,” he said, after announcing McShane’s arrival at the club.
“These are top practitioners in their own areas of specialism, leaders, cultural architects and alongside Chris and Tom, massive contributors to our success last season and what we are building at the Gen2 Energy Elite Performance Centre.”

City have also welcomed five new members of staff to their training base as preparations continue for the new season.
The aptly-named Thadi Cook has joined as performance chef, having previously worked at Antlers Restaurant at the White Hart, while Jake Lloyd has been appointed performance coach from Hartlepool United. Andrew Cant arrives as a physiotherapist, having left Grimsby Town to take up the position. Jake Mallinder has taken up a role as performance analyst, having held the same position at Derby County, and Arlen Newton has joined as kit and equipment manager.
George also paid tribute to the wider group of staff working throughout the football department.
“Finally, there are too many individuals to name in the support staff that underpin our football operation, who all demonstrate selflessness, dedication and commitment every day, but they are our crucial ‘team behind the team’,” he said.
“They have been joined this summer by Andrew, Arlen, Jake, Jake and Thadi as we continue to enhance provision for the players.”
The announcement comes as the Imps continue preparations for life in the Championship, with Cohen and Shaw leading the first-team operation and the wider staff structure being strengthened around them.
