West Ham United Braced for Mavropanos Offers
West Ham United reportedly expect Konstantinos Mavropanos to leave the club before the transfer window closes.
The Greece international is attracting interest from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs following West Ham’s relegation to the Championship.
The Hammers are believed to need player sales to offset the financial impact of dropping out of the top flight, and keeping Mavropanos has been described as increasingly difficult. West Ham are now said to be preparing for offers to arrive over the coming weeks.
The 28-year-old remains contracted until 2028, but the latest claims suggest the club expect a deal to be completed this summer.
Mavropanos previously played in Germany with Stuttgart and could have the option of returning to the Bundesliga. A move back to the Premier League is also understood to be possible.
West Ham are facing interest in several prominent players following relegation. Crysencio Summerville has been linked with a departure, while captain Jarrod Bowen is also reportedly attracting attention.
Nuno Espírito Santo is understood to be keen to retain a squad capable of challenging for an immediate promotion, but the club must also account for the reduction in income caused by relegation.
