Watford Enquire About AC Milan Midfielder
Watford have reportedly made an enquiry about AC Milan midfielder Warren Bondo.
The 22-year-old is expected to leave the Italian club this summer after being left out of their pre-season squad. Milan are said to have decided to sell Bondo, despite only signing him from Monza in February 2025.
The former France Under-20 international spent last season on loan at Cremonese, making 28 appearances without scoring or registering an assist. Cremonese decided against pursuing a permanent transfer after their relegation.
According to reports from Italy, Watford are among the clubs to have asked about Bondo’s availability. The midfielder is currently working separately with a fitness coach while waiting for his future to be resolved.
AC Milan paid around €10 million (£8.5m) for Bondo and handed him a contract running until 2029. However, his current price and salary are reportedly beyond Watford’s preferred budget.
Both Milan and the player may therefore need to reduce their demands before a move to Vicarage Road becomes realistic.
Watford have already looked towards the Italian market during the summer, but any agreement for Bondo would represent a significant financial commitment for the Championship club.
