Cardiff City are preparing to move one senior player out of the club, while several Championship sides continue to pursue eye-catching additions before the new season begins.

Cardiff City Defender Closing In On Exit
Cardiff City defender Jesper Daland is reportedly close to leaving the Bluebirds, with the Norwegian believed to be travelling to complete a move to Viking.
According to the latest Cardiff City reports, the proposed deal is initially expected to be a loan, although it is unclear whether Viking will have an option or obligation to make the move permanent.
Daland joined Cardiff from Cercle Brugge in the summer of 2024 and made 20 appearances during his first campaign in Wales. He was unable to help the club avoid relegation, before spending last season on loan with Fortuna Düsseldorf in the German second tier.
The 26-year-old does not appear to feature in Brian Barry-Murphy’s plans following Cardiff’s immediate return to the Championship. Daland, Roko Simic and Kion Etete have reportedly been training with the club’s under-21 squad after being left out of the senior side’s pre-season programme.
His departure would remove another player from the fringes of Barry-Murphy’s squad as Cardiff attempt to reshape their group for the Championship. Goalkeeper Nathan Trott remains their only confirmed arrival so far, although a move for Lincoln City midfielder Jack Moylan is reportedly progressing.
The Republic of Ireland international is said to be poised to become Cardiff’s first outfield signing of the summer, with a significant fee reportedly agreed between the two clubs.
