Game On: Lincoln City Launch eSports Inspired Third Kit

Lincoln City have unveiled their new third kit for the 2026/27 season, with a gaming-inspired design reflecting the club’s growing involvement in eSports.

I’ll be honest, the club’s growing involvement in eSports is news to me, but that’s not really the point. The point is I quite like it. The shirt has a white base with teal and navy detailing, while a circuit-style pattern runs across the jersey. The design takes its cues from gaming and digital technology, giving City’s third strip a distinctive look for the new Championship campaign.

The City does have a Rockstar Games, so there is a bit of gaming heritage, which will do for me. I don’t think every shirt needs a narrative anyway; sometimes it’s nice just to stick something out there and go ‘different from the others, innit?’.

The shirt features Nanna Tate appearing on the front, Logicool on the sleeve and Rilmac on the back. IFI Group are also represented on the back of the shorts. Of course, the Imps will wear the kit for the first time on Saturday when they open their Championship season away at Middlesbrough.

Supporters can buy the new shirt online or from the club shop at Sincil Bank from 10 am tomorrow. The launch will also see Reeco Hackett and Ben House appear at the club shop on Thursday afternoon, with the City pair taking on young Imps supporters at FC 26. They’ll be there between 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm, giving fans the chance to test their gaming skills against the pair as part of the launch celebrations.

Not sure why it’s just young Imps, though; some of us 47-year-olds have a penchant for gaming as well!
