Celtic Advance In Talks For Blackburn Goalkeeper
Blackburn Rovers could be set to lose Balázs Tóth, with Celtic reportedly advancing in negotiations for the Hungary international.
The Scottish champions are understood to be discussing a permanent transfer worth around £4 million, although the finer details of the agreement are still being worked through.
The 28-year-old has already given his approval to the move according to TEAMtalk, with talks between the two clubs accelerating over recent days. Tóth joined Blackburn in 2024 and has since established himself at Ewood Park, but the prospect of joining Martin O’Neill’s Celtic now appears to have caught his attention.
No final agreement has yet been reached, but the report suggests there is optimism that the deal could be completed before the end of the week. That would leave Blackburn needing to consider their goalkeeping options with the Championship season already underway.
