Jacob Jensen, Denmark
My name is Jacob Jensen. I am a 43-year-old Dane living in Næstved, Denmark. I am married, we have three children and I work as a store manager for a wholesale company.
I first discovered Lincoln City when I played Championship Manager in my younger years. I started playing as Lincoln in 2006 and, unlike any other club I could have chosen, I became captivated and fascinated by playing as them. That is how my love for Lincoln began. The club itself forged that connection.
I follow Lincoln as much as possible through the club’s Facebook page, fan pages, websites and news sites. It is easy to do, although keeping up with everything takes a little time. I rarely watch the matches live on television, although it does happen occasionally. However, I always watch the highlights afterwards and keep a live score tracker open throughout the game.
Before a match, I spend the day reading the latest news and looking at the starting line-up. I often watch alone because my family isn’t quite as interested in football as I am.
The 2017 promotion from the National League, the FA Cup quarter-final and the 4-0 victory against Blackpool in February 2026 all rank highly on my list of great memories. The Blackpool match was also my first visit to Sincil Bank, and it certainly won’t be my last. I am currently looking into attending both home and away games this season.
When the conversation turns to English football and which team we support, many people look surprised when I quickly answer, “Lincoln”. Most expect you to name a Premier League club.
My local team is Næstved, Mikkel Ladefoged’s former club, and I have supported them since I was a young boy. Like Lincoln, Næstved are a smaller club where we aren’t used to winning trophies. Both clubs have become very close to my heart and have come to mean a great deal to me.
