Joe Gauci and Callum Elder – Australia

Joe Gauci and Callum Elder look less likely to receive calls this time, although both have senior Australia experience and could come into consideration on a wider list. Gauci made his senior debut against Ecuador in March 2023 and was part of the Asian Cup squad in early 2024, while Elder represented Australia at under-20 level before making the step up to the senior side in 2021.

Neither would be among my likeliest candidates for this window, but selection would offer the prospect of two friendlies against Brazil.
