In a big match at the Emirates, two players collide when they jump to head a high ball. The Arsenal players falls to the ground holding his head, so you call on the physio. While that is happening you notice that the replay on the big screen shows him elbowing his opponent. What do you do?
You would be in you rights to ask the linesman what he saw but, if he didn't see it happen, you could not punish anything using the evidence on the big screen. The FA could deal with it later.
Matt Gilks takes a goal kick in incredibly high winds. The ball catches a huge gust and blows back towards him. He tips it over his head and into the net. What do you award?
He's not allowed to touch the ball after taking the kick, not until someone else has. Therefore it's an indirect free kick.
Gilks takes another goal kick which again loops up very high. Matt Rhead, who was standing in an offside position when the ball was kicked, runs back into his own half and collects the ball. What do you give?
You can't be offside from a goal kick.
A cross is whipped into the Imps' box, but Cian Bolger ducks out of the header leaving James Norwood to nod home. Both Bolger and Gilks complain that Norwood shouted 'leave it' in Gilks' accent. You heard the shout too. What do you do?
It's unsporting behaviour, that's a yellow and a card
Matt Gilks (again) catches the ball while in his penalty area after receiving a throw-in directly from a team-mate. What should the ref do?
How does the referee decide who kicks off in extra time of a cup tie?
John Akinde has a shot which clips off the referee's arm and deflects past the keeper. What should the referee do?
Nothing. It's a goal, however much the other side wouldn't like it to be.
Aside from a huge fine from Danny, what would the referee be entitled to do if he caught Tom Pett making a mobile phone call on the pitch during a game?
At half time Danny replaces Danny Rowe with Shay McCartan, but the referee isn't made aware until the game has restarted. What is his action?
Shay would be booked for entering the field of play without the referee's permission
John Akinde steps up to take a penalty, but because of an infringement by the goalkeeper he has to retake it. Who else is allowed to take the penalty at that point?
Lincoln could ask anyone else to take it, although I'm not sure why they would.
