Best Individual Display – Lasse Sorensen (9.40 – Plymouth A) & Adam Jackson (9.40 Ipswich A)

Prior to MK Dons at home earlier this year, the thought of Lasse at right back had many clenching their buttocks. -we all remember Shrewsbury away in the Carabao Cup, when he looked like a fish out of water (perhaps even a fish with severe lacerations swimming in vinegar). Oh, how long ago that seems now, as the Great Dane picked up Away Player of the Year yesterday, and secured the joint-highest single rating for a game this season. We’ve had a few scores over nine for players – Max Sanders at home against Plymouth, Rushworth against Oxford and Diamond against Bristol Rovers. However, only one other performance could match Lasse’s.

Adam Jackson is something of a star for the Imps, an unsung hero in the eyes of many. His performance away at Ipswich, a game we won 1-0 after unbelievable pressure, underlined exactly what’s good about him. He blocked, headed, tackled and fought for 90 minutes, putting his body on the line. It wasn’t the last time he got above nine, either, bagging 9.1 against Barnsley at the Bank.
For me, he’s a lot like a League One quality Luke Waterfall, a great, down-to-earth guy off the field, and a fighter on it. He deservedly shares the award with Lasse, and remember, both are players who many wrote off at the end of last season.
