This is very much an in case you missed it piece.
In a recent podcast (found here and below) Gary and Chris picked three players each they felt could (or should) interest the Imps.
If you missed it, we’ve summarised it below. If your interest is piqued, then the full podcast is well worth a listen. This was recorded (and written) on May 23rd, so there may have been some shifts since.

If, as expected, Lincoln lose Paudie O’Connor this summer, a commanding central defender will be top of the recruitment list. Connor Taylor, currently at Bristol Rovers, fits that bill perfectly. At 6’0” and just 23 years old, Taylor is a dominant centre-back with a strong profile and plenty of upside.
Despite Rovers’ relegation, Taylor was a shining light. Statistically, he ranks in the top 10% of League One centre-backs for aerial duels won, interceptions, and recoveries. Impressively, he committed just 30 fouls across 42 league games while drawing 59 himself — an indication of smart defending. On the ball, he’s tidy, though not elite, but boasts an 80th percentile rating for successful passes and is a willing long distributor.
A Stoke City graduate, Taylor has experience at Championship level, but has plateaued slightly at a struggling Rovers side. His contract runs until 2026, so a fee would be required — likely six figures. The big stumbling block? Peterborough are rumoured to be interested, and their resources may edge us out. But in a back four or three, Taylor would bring the physicality, calm, and presence to lead our line — especially if Jackson and Hamer remain.
