League One clubs are juggling contract news, injury updates, and youth development as the run-in approaches. Across the division the news cycle has taken on a familiar late-season tone, with managers talking about availability, long-term planning, and the fine margins that could shape the final weeks of the campaign.
Wycombe Wanderers tie down Harvie after standout spell
Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed that left-back Dan Harvie has signed a new contract after impressing during his first 18 months at Adams Park, according to a club statement.
The 27-year-old has been a key performer for the Chairboys since arriving from Milton Keynes Dons in the summer of 2024. In that time he has racked up 73 appearances and established himself as a regular presence down the left flank.
Wycombe have also highlighted the scale of Harvie’s influence this season, noting that he has played more minutes than any other player in the squad while contributing to the creation of more than 30 goalscoring opportunities.
Head coach Michael Duff praised the defender’s contribution and influence within the group following confirmation of the new deal.
“He’s a big player for the team and it’s a really important signing for us.
“He’s coming into the peak years of his career and he’s a leader. He trains every day like it’s his last and has that competitive edge that you want in a player.
“His performances since I’ve been here probably put him in the top two or three for Player of the Year which shows the level he’s been at and we’re delighted to keep him.”
For Wycombe, tying down an established first-team player before the final stretch of the campaign offers both stability and a signal of intent as the club continues pushing towards the business end of the season.
