4. Chris Cohen’s return strengthened the whole operation
When Chris Cohen returned to the club in November 2024, City did not just bring back a familiar face. They added a coach with strong experience, a serious reputation and a clear understanding of what the club had become under Skubala. His arrival deepened the coaching structure and gave us another high-level football brain in a setup already becoming known for detail, adaptability and planning.
It also said something important about the culture. Cohen had left, worked elsewhere, and then chosen to come back. That matters. City had not long been through a period when staff departures felt symptomatic of something unhealthy. Now, good people wanted in. That return underlined how much the atmosphere around the club had changed, and it reinforced the idea that City were building something others believed in as well.
