Blackpool boss calls for hostile atmosphere against Posh
Blackpool manager Ian Evatt has urged supporters to create an intense atmosphere as his side prepare to host Peterborough United in a crucial relegation battle.
The Seasiders sit just two points above the drop zone, with their recent home form offering encouragement despite a setback at Stevenage on Easter Monday.
Evatt believes the environment at Bloomfield Road could play a decisive role in the outcome.
“We need this place buzzing to get ready for Saturday, “We need to create a really intense, intimidating atmosphere, and get on the front foot – being a bit braver with the ball to get the three points we need.”
With just a handful of games remaining, Blackpool’s survival hopes remain in their own hands, although the gap between themselves and mid-table opposition such as Peterborough highlights how tight the division remains.
Their remaining fixtures include key home matches and difficult away trips, ensuring there is little margin for error as the relegation battle continues to intensify.
