Loan Player of the Season – Ryan Oné

I think this is a tough one, because while we have had a few loan players, they didn’t all get much of a chance. Barbrook, Conteh and Lembikisa barely featured, while Obikwu and Okoronkwo probably suffered from not being here during the big run.
Only Oné really had a serious claim for a starting place, and he did that well. Scoring goals always endears you to supporters, but Oné had more than that to his game. He played wide, he ran channels and he got vital goals: Wimbledon at home and Reading away two that really stand out. They ‘secured’ promotion, although it was actually secured far earlier, but they gave the fans the moments.
He’ll be a big player for Sheffield United next season, and if he isn’t, he’s surely welcome back!
