It is time for the Stacey West End-of-Season Awards, which you, the readers of this site, mainly chose.
This season was a success. I don’t think I need to go into any more details. The ripples caused by this season will continue to be felt across the city and hopefully, across the club for many, many years.
To acknowledge one player, or even two or three, is to do a huge disservice to them all, but we have our End of Season Awards to hand out, and we will do that now.
The categories are:
Player of the Season
The player with the highest average rating of the season was determined by adding each match and dividing by the number of matches we played during the period we collected data. To qualify, players have to have played in at least 30 of our matches this season. By ‘played’, they must have been on the field for 15 minutes or more, so subs’ ratings only count if they came on before the 75-minute mark.
This has already been covered in this article.

Young Player of the Season
Same as above, but for players aged 22 or under when the season kicked off, they must have played in 15 of our matches this season. I have lowered this, given how young players often play fewer matches.
Same as above, but for players we had on loan who played in ten games or more.
Jack Mulhall xG Award
My favourite award. Check out this article to find out how we’re going to award this one.
