Jack Mulhall xG Award – Jack Moylan (3.4)
The latest call-up for Ireland, Jack Moylan, is the winner of the xG award.
A lot of his goals have very low xG, meaning he winds his way into the area, or he strikes from range. He was only just ahead of Reeco Hackett, another who has scored more goals than his numbers suggest.
It’s not the first time Jack has won it either, showing that while I often say xG evens itself out, and you can’t always outperform it, Moylan is the exception to the rule.
Maybe that’s why he’s going to win his first Ireland cap!
