The World Cup is well underway over in the US, Mexico and Canada, and for a moment, Lincoln City fans watch players from around the globe competing in international competition.
There are 48 teams competing in the World Cup, and I wondered if I could name 48 different nationalities that have played for Lincoln City. I’ve scoured the record books, literally reading the original 1994 Ian and Donald Nannestad book from cover to cover in a day, trying to find 48 players of different nationalities.
In the end, I’ve found 44. Some nations we have multiple players from, others just the one. I wonder, can you guess the 44 nations I have found?
Spoiler: There might be one or two I have missed, my apologies if so!
