Boston United have added former Middlesbrough midfielder Terrell Agyemang to their squad ahead of the new season.
The 23-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Pilgrims and will officially join the club on July 1, following the expiry of his contract with Morecambe. His arrival gives Boston another midfield option as they prepare for their return to pre-season training.
Agyemang spent last season in the National League, starting the campaign with Morecambe before moving to Wealdstone on loan. He made 27 league appearances for the Stones and also played the full 90 minutes against Boston in April. He had earlier appeared at the Jakemans Community Stadium for Middlesbrough in National League Cup action in January 2025.
The London-born midfielder came through the youth ranks at Charlton Athletic before joining Manchester City, where he was part of their under-21 set-up. He later moved to Middlesbrough in 2023, featuring in a first-team matchday squad for an EFL Cup tie against Huddersfield Town, although he did not make a senior league appearance for the Teesside club.
Agyemang gained further senior experience during two loan spells with Hartlepool United in the National League and then with Airdrieonians in the Scottish Championship. His time in Scotland also brought his first senior goals, with two coming in the Scottish League Cup.
He left Middlesbrough at the end of the 2024/25 season before signing for Morecambe later that summer. After his release by the Shrimps, Boston have moved to bring him to Lincolnshire on a permanent deal.
Agyemang becomes the latest addition to Paul Hurst’s squad, following the recent arrivals of Gibraltar internationals Nicholas Pozo and Kai Mauro.
Mauro is a 19-year-old who joins Boston United from Spanish side Cadiz C on an initial one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months. Like Agyemang, he is due to officially become a Pilgrims player on July 1, subject to international clearance and FA and National League approval.
He has already won 10 senior caps for Gibraltar and has played club football in both Gibraltar and Spain.
