Lincoln City Transfer Latest – All The Recent Rumours and Reports

As we come to the end of a scorching week, I thought it would be prudent to look back at the most recent Lincoln City transfer rumours and reports, and see where we think things might be.

Pre-season will soon be underway, and as things stand, there will be no new faces on the trip to Spain. Jez George was on his phone plenty at the fixture release event last night, but as yet, we’ve not seen anyone come in. Making late signings is not unusual.

Nine years ago today, we made our first two permanent signings, Matt Green and Ollie Palmer, while Joe Morrell arrived on June 27th, 2019.  Lewis Montsma and Lewis Fiorini both arrived in July with no June signings, while last summer, Sonny Bradley was our first capture on June 20th.

With nobody out of contract, we don’t actually have gaps in the squad, and Josh Honohan will be very much like a new signing when he pulls his boots on, but that doesn’t mean we’re not looking. There have been plenty of links with players, but what are the five most recent, and how valid are they?

Note: I do not list rumours from Twitter accounts that have been set up this year, or say they’re a ‘journalist’ when there is no supporting evidence, such as a LinkedIn page, or a reputable website with reports on. They’re not worth commenting on or sharing.

Here are the five most recent that felt like they might have some grounding in reality, and what the current state of play is. It is worth remembering that one reported target, Barney Stewart, has already signed for West Brom.
