Championship Latest: Lincoln City Target Joins Pompey, £5m Middlesbrough Deal On Brink of Collapse

Odin Bailey Completes Portsmouth Move

Portsmouth have made Odin Bailey their first signing of the summer, with the former Stockport County midfielder arriving on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal at Fratton Park after leaving Stockport, where he made 140 appearances and scored 12 goals. Bailey had also been linked with Bolton Wanderers, Sheffield Wednesday and Lincoln City before Portsmouth secured his signature, with John Mousinho hailing him as a player of real quality.

“Odin is a versatile player who joins us following an excellent season at Stockport.

“He will provide us with real quality in the final third and is also at a good age to continue to develop as a footballer.

“We’re delighted to get our first signing of the summer transfer window over the line and I’m excited to start working with Odin as we continue our preparations for the new Championship campaign.”

Bailey began his career with Birmingham City and made his senior debut against Portsmouth in a League Cup tie in August 2019. He later had loan spells with Forest Green Rovers and Livingston before joining Salford City, then Stockport in 2023.

He was part of the Stockport side beaten by Bolton in last season’s League One play-off final, but has now stepped back into the Championship with Portsmouth.
