Sheffield United Consider Rabbi Matondo Move
Sheffield United are reportedly considering a move for former Rangers winger Rabbi Matondo.
Chris Wilder is looking to strengthen his options on the left side of the attack, with the Wales international among the players being assessed.
Matondo joined Norwegian side Brann in March after his Rangers contract was terminated, but has struggled to secure regular football. He has made only three substitute appearances and has already been made available for transfer.
A return to Britain could now be possible, with Sheffield United named among the clubs weighing up an offer for the 25-year-old.
Matondo admitted he was disappointed that his time in Norway had not worked out as planned.
“It’s a shame. I wanted to show myself to the fans.
“Now it looks like I might not get the opportunity to do that in Brann.”
The winger began his career with Cardiff City before joining Manchester City. He later moved to Schalke 04 and has also represented Stoke City, Cercle Brugge, Hannover 96 and Rangers.
Brann sporting director Per-Ove Ludvigsen said the club would see how the situation developed over the coming weeks and months.
