Portsmouth Complete Rocco Shein Signing
Portsmouth have completed the signing of Estonia midfielder Rocco Shein from Fredrikstad for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has agreed a three-year contract at Fratton Park and becomes Pompey’s third arrival of the summer following Odin Bailey and Eoin Kenny.
John Mousinho believes the midfielder will add physical strength and quality in possession to his squad.
“We’re delighted to continue our summer transfer activity with the signing of Rocco.
“He will provide us with plenty of physicality in the centre of the pitch, but is also someone who is very comfortable on the ball.
“Rocco has already made a great deal of progress over the past few years and is still young, so we feel he can continue to improve with us.”
Shein started his senior career with Flora in Estonia and featured in European competition before moving to the Netherlands.
He represented Utrecht and Dordrecht before joining Fredrikstad at the beginning of 2025, helping the Norwegian side finish eighth in the top flight last season.
The midfielder has also earned 25 senior caps for Estonia, having made his international debut in a goalless friendly against Albania in 2022.
His arrival continues an active start to the window for Portsmouth, with the transfer confirmed on Monday evening.
