Lincoln City trio Freddie Draper, Reeco Hackett and Dom Jefferies have signed new contracts with the Imps, extending their stays at the club.
Academy graduate Draper has agreed a deal running until the summer of 2030. The striker has made more than 100 appearances for City since breaking into the first team and scored seven times during last season’s Sky Bet League One title-winning campaign.
Hackett has signed a contract until the summer of 2029 following another productive season. The forward joined the Imps in 2023 and has since passed the 100-appearance mark, scoring 23 goals in all competitions.
Jefferies has also committed his future to City, signing until the summer of 2028 with the option of a further year. The versatile Welsh midfielder is preparing for his third season at the club, having made several important contributions during the promotion campaign, including the winning goal away at Cardiff City.
Sporting director Jez George said:
“We know that we need to add to the squad and we are working 24/7 to do that. We know the season starts on Saturday, and our first season in the second tier of English football kicks off with one of the hardest possible opening fixtures at play-off finalists Middlesbrough the weekend after.
“But all summer, as well as trying to identify and sign players that can enhance the group, which is an ongoing process, we have also worked hard to tie down players across the squad to protect their potential asset value. We are delighted to have now secured Freddie, Reeco and Dom on longer contracts.
“They all created memorable moments last season, and they will all have an important role to play for Lincoln City this season and in the future.”
Freddie Draper
Draper joined the Imps from Derby County as a first-year scholar before signing his first professional contract on his 17th birthday. He gained senior experience during loan spells with Gainsborough Trinity, Drogheda United and Walsall, scoring ten times during the first half of the 2023/24 season with the Saddlers.
The forward has since established himself in City’s first team and scored seven league goals during the 2025/26 title-winning campaign, including dominant displays against Bradford City and Luton Town.
Reeco Hackett
Hackett began his career with Dagenham and Redbridge before progressing through Charlton Athletic’s academy and later representing Bromley, Portsmouth and Southend United. He joined the Imps from Portsmouth in the summer of 2023 and scored his first City goal in a 3-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers.
The winger, who represents Saint Lucia at international level, has now made more than 100 appearances for the club. He was linked with an exit this January, but it never materialised, proving not all internet rumours are to be believed.
Dom Jefferies
Stacey West-Patreon sponsored Jefferies developed in the academies at Cardiff City and Newport County before joining Brentford B, where he captained the side and was named Players’ Player of the Year. He made 71 appearances across two seasons with Gillingham before moving to the Imps in the summer of 2024.
The versatile midfielder has since played more than 70 times for City and contributed to the 2025/26 League One title-winning campaign. His recovery from an operation last summer saw him start late, and he’ll benefit hugely from a full pre-season.
