Conor McGrandles Said He Wanted To Move to Scotland

Conor McGrandles found it tough after moving to London, barely featuring for Charlton as they struggled under Ben Garner. He shouldn’t even have been there after it was widely accepted he favoured a move to Scotland. That was the hawked rhetoric when it became apparent he was leaving the Bank, from the mouth of the manager himself.

When he then signed for Charlton, a number of people (me included) got quite angry. Briefly. Then, we looked back and realised Conor had never said he wanted a move to Scotland. It was understood to be the case, and key figures at the club had told the media that it was the case, but Conor never actually said it himself.

Of course, we could say the rest is history, as he did eventually return home, but to the red and white home of the Bank.
