4. Deji Elerewe
Of our permanent players, Elerewe would be my pick as the one most likely to attract a serious January bid. That is my assessment of his performances and profile, rather than a suggestion that a particular club is already preparing an offer.
He has looked outstanding, combining the obvious physical attributes with an ability to play out from the back. He is big, strong and still young, but already has experience of English football through Charlton, Wealdstone and Bromley. That combination gives a potential buyer plenty to work with.
There will be others attracting attention, and Andrei Coubis has certainly made an impression, but it feels particularly early to be discussing a departure for somebody who has only just arrived. Deji has had longer to establish himself here, and his performances this season have shown how well he can handle Championship football.
I would love to see him stay and continue developing with us. However, if one of our players were to be the subject of a substantial offer in January, he would be my tip.
