5. Josh Honohan
Honohan is somebody I could see leaving on loan, because he needs regular football. I still believe there is a player there for us, and a temporary move could help him build towards making a bigger contribution at Lincoln.
If the worst happened and we went down, I would view him as a ready-made option at left-back in League One. Obviously, the aim is to stay in the Championship, and we need to find a way of getting minutes into him while pursuing that objective.
We do not have the EFL Trophy to provide those opportunities, and the FA Cup could amount to a single game. One afternoon of football would do little to address the wider problem: he needs to be playing 70 or 80 minutes regularly, getting into a rhythm and building his confidence.
A League One loan would make sense to me, and I would expect there to be takers. It would give him the opportunity to play consistently while allowing us to retain a footballer who could still have a future at Sincil Bank.
