Queens Park Rangers Predicted XI To Face Lincoln City

Lincoln City return to Loftus Road for the first time in 55 years on Saturday, and QPR look likely to have their leading scorer available after a midweek injury scare.

Richard Kone went off in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Burnley but is expected to be fit to face us. Former Imps loanee Alfie Lloyd is set to miss out until the new year after hurting his hamstring against Southampton.

Amadou Mbengue, Tariq Lamptey, Nicolas Madsen and Rumarn Burrell are also out, while Jake Clarke-Salter is a doubt. This possible 4-4-2 brings Boy Kemper and Kwame Poku back into the side in place of Dennis Cirkin and Koki Saito, who started against Burnley.

Pierce Charles (Goalkeeper)

Manchester City brought Pierce Charles back from Sheffield Wednesday this summer and immediately loaned him to QPR for the season. The Northern Ireland international had been in City’s academy before moving to Hillsborough, where he made his senior debut.

Charles has played all 1,260 minutes of QPR’s Championship campaign and has completed 76.9% of his passes. Chris Cohen picked out the range of his distribution in the build-up, so if we press high, we have to be ready for him to play over it.

Kealey Adamson (Right-back)

Kealey Adamson came through Sydney FC’s ranks and made his senior debut in the Australia Cup. He went on to play in the A-League for Macarthur FC, who sold the Australia Under-23 international to QPR in 2025.

Adamson has made 13 league appearances this season, eight of them starts. His 1.6 tackles per game are the most of any QPR defender in the figures, and he adds 1.2 interceptions and two clearances per outing.

Jimmy Dunne (Centre-back)

Jimmy Dunne was in Manchester United’s youth set-up before joining Burnley, where he scored on his Premier League debut against Leicester City. The Republic of Ireland international moved to QPR in 2021 and now captains the club.

Dunne has scored three times in 13 league games this season, as many as Paul Smyth. He also leads Rangers in clearances and aerial duels won, averaging 6.3 and 2.8 per game respectively.

Ronnie Edwards (Centre-back)

Ronnie Edwards started out at Barnet and made more than 120 league appearances for Peterborough United before joining Southampton. He spent the second half of 2024/25 on loan at QPR and returned permanently in January.

Like Charles, Edwards has played every league minute for Rangers this season. He averages 5.4 clearances and 1.4 interceptions per game, while completing 90.1% of his passes.

Boy Kemper (Left-back)

Boy Kemper played for Jong Ajax and ADO Den Haag before spending three seasons at NAC Breda. The Dutch left-back moved to Loftus Road on a free transfer this summer.

Kemper has started six of his seven league appearances, with one assist. He averages 2.7 clearances and 1.3 interceptions per game and could reclaim his place from Cirkin after starting against Southampton.

Kwame Poku (Right midfield)

Kwame Poku got his Football League break with Colchester United before spending four years at Peterborough United. The Ghana international scored 27 league goals for Posh and moved to QPR in the summer of 2025.

Poku has a goal and an assist in 11 Championship appearances and averages 2.5 shots per game, the highest figure in the QPR squad. He’s the likely option on the right here if Rangers bring him back in for Saito.

Jonathan Varane (Central midfield)

Jonathan Varane came through at Lens and spent time on loan at Rodez before moving to Spain with Sporting Gijon. The defensive midfielder, who represents Martinique, joined QPR in 2024.

Varane scored his first goal of the season to earn Rangers a point against Burnley on Tuesday. He has started five of his nine Championship appearances and averages one interception and 1.4 clearances per game.

Glen Kamara (Central midfield)

Glen Kamara made his senior debut at Arsenal before making his name in Scotland with Dundee and Rangers. The Finland international won the Scottish title at Ibrox and reached a Championship play-off final with Leeds United before joining Rennes, who loaned him to QPR this summer.

Kamara’s 91.1% pass completion is the highest in the Rangers squad figures, and he also averages 1.8 key passes per game. Alongside Varane, he’s the one we’d want to stop getting time to look up and pick a pass.

Harvey Vale (Left midfield)

Harvey Vale came through at Chelsea and captained England to the European Under-19 title in 2022. He spent time on loan at Hull City and Bristol Rovers before joining QPR in 2025 and has since represented the Republic of Ireland at senior level.

Vale has one goal and two assists from 12 league appearances this season. He leads QPR with 2.2 key passes per game and also averages 1.8 tackles, so there’s plenty for us to deal with on that flank when the ball changes hands.

Richard Kone (Forward)

Richard Kone made his league debut against the Imps in January 2024, shortly after joining Wycombe Wanderers from Athletic Newham. He went on to win both League One Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season in 2024/25 before moving to QPR.

All four of Kone’s Championship goals this season have come in the last three games, with a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Swansea City followed by a goal at Southampton. He also has an assist in 471 league minutes.

Paul Smyth (Forward)

Paul Smyth first joined QPR from Linfield in 2017 and returned to Loftus Road in 2023 after helping Leyton Orient win League Two. The Northern Ireland international can play out wide as well as up front, where he’s alongside Kone in this XI.

Smyth has three goals and one assist from 13 Championship appearances, ten of them starts. He’s been fouled 1.2 times per game and can drift wide to give Rangers another way of getting at our full-backs.

Queens Park Rangers possible starting lineup (4-4-2)

Charles / Adamson, Dunne, Edwards, Kemper / Poku, Varane, Kamara, Vale / Kone, Smyth.
