Sam Slocombe
Slocombe is the first of our players from last week to leave, although it is old news. I didn’t cover it at the time which, without being rude, tells you everything you need to know. Despite being a League One keeper, I never rated Slocombe. I’m sure he was a nice guy, I know he didn’t do badly in the shoot out against Scunthorpe, but he didn’t give me any confidence at all.
In terms of how to cope without him, it isn’t going to be tough, is it? He only ever came in as cover for Josh Vickers whilst he was injured and for the run in, it’s better we have our two keepers here and ready. It’s a wage gone and sadly for Slocombe, not one any of us will mourn at all.
