Finally, should such an unfortunate set of circumstances occur that we needed to call upon Adam Crookes, we won’t be able to do so. He’s been recalled by Nottingham Forest, unsurprising given his first team action, so won’t be available for the Grimsby game.

Being brutally honest, he was never in contention for it anyway. The local lad didn’t shine when handed a chance in the EFL trophy, nor the EFL Cup and could have been considered at fault for goals by Blackburn and Mansfield. 

He’s not a bad player, but right now he isn’t League Two quality. Expect him to make a National league loan move (or Port Vale which is more or less the same thing), where hopefully he can get some action and develop.
