3rd – Tarique Fosu
Or, to give him his full name, Tariqe Kumahl Malachi Akwesi Fosu-Henry, is a Charlton winger who has fallen down the pecking order at the Valley and is someone we’ve looked at, as reported by the SLP.
He’s out of contract, but has been offered a new deal in order to ensure a compensation fee when he leaves the club.
In the 2017-18 season he bagged nine goals in 35 appearances for the Addicks, but last season he bagged just two in 27 after became a fringe player under Lee Bowyer.
The winger has enjoyed loan spells with Fleetwood, Accrington and Colchester and has racked up 116 senior appearances, with 21 goals.
He’s just the sort of player we want to see Danny targeting; young and ambitious with League One experience. The problem is Oxford United; they’re looking at him too and it was Karl Robinson who gave him his chance at the Valley.
I can see Danny being attracted to Fosu; he’s got the same qualities as the other wingers we’ve either owned or have been linked with. The main issue would surely be wages.
