Ten Strikers Who Had Nightmare Sincil Bank Stays

Kyle Perry

I loved the persona of Kyle Perry, rock musician and no-nonsense non-league bruiser. He was a bit like a cross between Matt Rhead and Gareth Ainsworth, which sounds like a dream combination. it wasn’t. He had even hit 17 the season before for Tamworth too, but that was a one-off. He even started well, netting twice as we won 2-1 at Telford, as well as announcing himself one the opening day at Southport with a goal, After that, it all went awry and he began to look lost. sure, it might have been Steve Tilson’s woeful tactics, but Perry looked lethargic and disinterested.

He might not be on this list, were it not for a strange quirk of fate. We loaned him out to Telford, but allowed them to name him in their team against us at Sincil Bank. I don’t need to tell you where he scored his only Telford goal, do I? He must be the only player in history to score against us whilst our own player. We only drew the game 1-1 too. To be fair, Robbie Williams was on loan with us from Telford, but he didn’t score.
