Dene Cropper
I know there will be some screaming ‘harsh’ right now at the screen. How can a member of the 2002/03 squad get the nod? Well, maybe three goals in 53 outings answers the question? Dene bagged three in his first three months with the club, then not another goal throughout his stay. I liked Dene, and part of this is me calling him as the next big thing when I saw him a Yeo both score against Rochdale in the first home game of the 02/03 season. I was wrong and to be fair to dene, he was a trier elevated beyond his natural level. He never stopped the hard work, which puts him well above some names on here, but sadly he never got the reward he deserved.
