I had begun to think I’d imagined Sean Roughan, the fresh-faced 16-year-old who burst onto the scene suddenly last August, then disappeared just as quickly when the clocks went back. After almost a year in the shadows, he emerged for the Bowers game, and didn’t have a bad outing. He was sacrificed when we went more attacking, and I think there’s a loan on his horizon. Here’s what he needs; National League or League Two, and a club who will be willing to play him. That’s a big ask for League Two, if he goes there I can see similar troubles to here; pathways blocked. A placement at a lower National League side leaking goals would be good; he could get senior exposure and, hopefully, come back to us looking more like the £1m prospect and less like a figment of my imagination.
