The Five Players Who Could Be Loaned Out in January

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and maybe a short absence for Hakeeb would convince Imps’ fans he had something to add. I feel he has, but he’s struggled since joining, there’s no doubt about that at all. He wasn’t at his best against Bowers & Pitsea and I fear he won’t get many minutes once January rolls around. Think about it; we’re wanting to sign at least one wide player in the Rogers/Johnson mould, if not two. If they come in, we’ve then got four (Scully and Maguire the other two) with Bramall and Bishop able to play there. Is there room for an out-of-form Haks to get into the side? My gut says he would be well served heading out to League Two on loan, and I have the perfect place; Scunthorpe. He’d be close to home, likely to get minutes, and there’s already a relationship there. He could regain confidence and hopefully, have our fans casting an eye over League Two wishing he was back. Let’s be honest; nobody really batted an eyelid when Theo Archibald left for Orient (except me), but every time he scores or gets an assist people talk about a recall. We need that positivity around Haks.
