Harry Anderson – Bristol Rovers
Imps Appearances – 205
Imps Goals – 32

Harry Anderson is still only 26 years old, but after 200+ appearances for City, he has now completed two seasons with Bristol Rovers, and been released. He appeared 79 times for the Gas in two seasons, scoring seven times, but wasn’t offered a new deal. This weekend, he posted on his Instagram account that he was back in Lincoln, doubtless visiting friends, but it got a few people excited.
I know people will say this is my heart ruling my head, but I’d take Harry back tomorrow. I think he’d be perfect in the 3-4-3, on the right side as a wing-back, but we could play him on the right side of our attack as well. I know people will say he’s old news, never go back, but he was a brilliant character at the club, he was never, ever accused of giving less than 100%, and it would give a lot of fans a little lift to see him back around the Bank.
Will he come back? Almost certainly not. Would I have him back? Over all but one of the other names on this list, no doubt.
Macauley Bonne – Charlton
Imps Appearances – 7
Imps Goals – 1

I really liked Bonne when he came to the Bank from Colchester in 2016. He got us a crucial goal, the one that beat Tranmere at Prenton Park, and kept us up there, knocking on the door through September and October. He took a hell of a whack against Barrow and didn’t really recover, going back to his parent club after a month. He later showed up at Woking, playing for them against us later in the season. I thought he’d be on a downward spiral after that, but he’s done the opposite.
He thrived at Orient, earning a big move to Charlton in the Championship. He’s since been with Queens Park Rangers and Ipswich, before a return to Charlton, where he scored twice in 16 outings. He’s now a free agent, only 27, and a player bound to attract interest from League One clubs.
Would I have him here? That depends. We do need another striker, one to back up Ben House, but I’d rather we went with a younger player, happy to sit on the bench and play sporadically while Ben accrues more value. I think Bonne would be a squad filler, and I don’t mean that disrespectfully, but he wouldn’t impact our first team.
