Johnny Kenny (Celtic / Bolton)
Not the obvious pick from Bolton, but I really liked what I saw of Kenny at Sincil Bank. Seven goal involvements in his spell are impressive, and he’s currently on a run of three in three. He came on against us and caused real problems, full of energy and aggression, which we would want from one of our forwards.
Another positive in terms of our approach is his flexibility. He can play centre forward, but also in the ten, and in the wide areas. He’s a bit like Rob Street in profile, and while I really like Rob, Kenny does feel like he’d be Championship-ready. I’m not saying our current crop would not be, but it would help if we had someone with that instant quality, to help ease some of the burden on those current players given a chance to shine.
