Amario Cozier-Duberry (Brighton / Bolton)
The obvious pick from Bolton. Cozier-Duberry was a cheat code in the early parts of the season, and his injury put the skids under Bolton’s promotion charge. Had he been fit for all 46 games, would they be so far behind us? I think not.
If they don’t go up, Brighton will surely look to place him in the Championship, and there will be a lot of interest. He’s got 17 goal involvements this season, and he didn’t play for three months, it’s ridiculous. I think he’ll be wanted by top Championship teams, but Brighton are a sensible outfit. They could have recalled him and loaned him back out in Jan, but didn’t, and he got injured late January. Still, they showed that games were more important at that stage than level, so next season, will they pick a side where he’s likely to get more games?
It’s possible, and I think he’d be superb on our right-hand side. The only issue might be tracking back, I’m not 100% sure he’s that type of player right now, but maybe they’d be happy him coming to a team wanting something a little different for his development?
