Tomáš Souček – Czechia
Souček made his name at Slavia Prague, where he won domestic honours and became one of Czech football’s standout midfielders. West Ham United first took him on loan in 2020, then made the move permanent, and he has since been a major figure in their midfield, including their 2023 European success.
He played for West Ham in their League Cup match at the Bank a couple of years ago, and he netted the only goal of the game. He made a real difference with a moment of quality, breaking Imps’ fans hearts in the process.
He made his senior Czech Republic debut in 2016 and later became national captain after Euro 2020. A regular at major tournaments, he also played at Euro 2024 and reached 89 caps by March 2026.
Like Kovář, he is in Group A with Czechia. Korea Republic come first in Guadalajara on June 11, South Africa follow in Atlanta on June 18, and Mexico in Mexico City should be a noisy finish on June 24.
