Top 100 Lincoln City Players Of 21st Century (Part 2)

52: Terry Hawkridge

A hero of the National League era, Hawkridge will always be remembered for his brace against Macclesfield. He was a talent for sure, and while he wasn’t front and centre of the 2016/17 campaign, he was always effective when deployed. I recall one strike against Dover in a tense game, coming three days after we beat Ipswich in the FA Cup, which eased nerves.

51: Ted Bishop

I think Ted is a marmite player. Plenty think he’d do a job now with his vision and technical ability, while others write him off as too fragile for the EFL. Judging by the votes, enough of you think he had a real talent, and maybe suffered from being in (relatively) uninspiring Lincoln City teams.

50: Reeco Hackett

Three years of Reeco Hackett, and I do wonder why he isn’t a little higher. He has 22 league goals and 15 league assists from 85 starts for the Imps: that is a goal involvement every two games, give or take. Last season, he shone. I think we saw the best of him, and if I were placing the players 1-100, I’d have him higher.

49: Ethan Erhahon

Interesting that Ethan gets into 49th, because had he stayed last season, I’m fairly sure he’d have been a lot higher. He’s a player with talent, and he showed it in the majority of his 107 outings for the Imps, but my guess is a slide down the rankings was triggered by the circumstances of his exit.
