In opposition to Loudoun, Bacharach is a Spanish defender and midfielder who developed in the Villarreal and CD Castellón youth systems before moving to the United States for college football. After standout spells with Fairleigh Dickinson, Indiana and Flint City Bucks, he was selected ninth overall by Minnesota United in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft and made his MLS debut later that year. He signed for Rhode Island FC at the end of 2024 and has since become part of their USL Championship squad.

He’s usually a left-sided centre back, but has recently been playing as a six. He’s a big lad, 6ft 4in tall, and that European experience interests me. His defensive output underlines how much work he gets through without the ball, with 73 defensive duels, 94 aerial duels at 56.4% success rate and 113 recoveries in the opposition half across 922 minutes. The standout takeaway is his willingness to compete high up the pitch, although 142 losses in his own half, 19 fouls and six yellow cards show there is still risk in how aggressively he plays.
