Frank Nodarse – Rhode Island
This is a bit of a curveball. The others rank highly in the USL for certain metrics, but Nodarse doesn’t. Still, having looked over his numbers, he might just be a wildcard suggestion. He’s 6ft 4in, a left-sided centre back, and has some international pedigree.
He is Cuban but has played in the United States since beginning his senior career with Storm FC. After spells with Fort Lauderdale, Charleston Battery and Rio Grande Valley, he joined Rhode Island FC in 2024 and quickly became a regular part of their defence. He also represented Cuba at under-20 level, earning three caps in 2018.
He’s won 66% of his aerial duels, and looks to be a prospect in terms of size and domination. Is he Championship quality? Probably not, but he might be one to watch for some clubs in Europe.
