The PFA Free Agent List Is Out: Is There Another Adam Reach For Lincoln City?

Ryan Hedges

Hedges began at Everton and Flint Town United before joining Swansea City, who sent him out on loan to Leyton Orient, Stevenage and Yeovil Town. He signed permanently for Barnsley in 2017, then moved to Aberdeen two years later, scoring 11 league goals in 66 appearances and hitting a Europa League hat-trick against NSÍ Runavík. The Wales international joined Blackburn Rovers in January 2022 and went on to make 137 league appearances, also operating as a left wing-back during the 2025/26 season.

Hedges would have been a shout. Decent age (30), lots of experience in the Championship, plenty of pedigree, but there is a catch. He’s a bit too ‘Adam Reach’ in that he’s a left-wing back, left back or left midfielder, and I feel we’re up to our quota when it comes to that position.
