West Bromwich Albion Agree Eseosa Sule Deal
West Bromwich Albion striker Eseosa Sule is closing in on a permanent move to St Mirren after the two clubs agreed a deal for the 20-year-old.
The proposed transfer includes an initial fee and a number of add-ons, with Sule expected to sign a three-year contract in Paisley. St Mirren hope to complete the formalities in time for him to feature against Dumbarton in the Premier Sports Cup on Saturday.
Sule joined Albion from Celtic in January 2023 and signed a new two-year deal at The Hawthorns last summer. He made his senior debut in an EFL Cup defeat to Fleetwood Town before spending the first half of last season on loan at Motherwell.
That spell was disrupted by a thigh injury sustained shortly after his arrival, and he returned to West Brom at the start of January. Sule later made his Championship debut from the bench during a goalless draw with Millwall in April.
The Scotland youth international attracted offers from clubs in England, Scotland and the Middle East, but was reportedly impressed by St Mirren manager Craig McLeish and his plans for the team. His departure would bring an end to a three-and-a-half-year association with Albion.
