Luke Gambin
Another winger, another player who doesn’t seem to have hit his potential but another I feel could add value to our side in the right circumstances.
Gambin is 26-years-old and has recently been released by Luton Town. He played a role in their promotion from League Two, but wasn’t able to force a start in League One and subsequently went out on loan to Crawley.
He made 30 appearances for them last season and has previously been with Barnet and Hendon. I know it doesn’t reek of quality in terms of experience, but the diminutive winger impressed during FA Cup cameos last season with the Hatters.
He’s also a full international, representing Malta in the World Cup qualifiers last year. There’s nothing in his record to suggest he’s anything other than League Two fodder this season, but if there’s any spare budget left over something tells me he could add value to our current offering, at least providing competition.
Of course, the likelihood is that if we do sign wingers they’ll be on loan, like Bernard Mensah and Kellan Gordon, but if we did have a little bit of budget put to one side then this could be one wild card signing.

Interesting read Gary, personally I agree with Mandron. He’d be a good addition to the squad.
Understood Danny Cowley to have indicated he would be looking at National League and Non League, any thoughts on players from there?
Facts about the manager is all we actually care about, especially now it’s reported he’s being interviewed by West Brom. You keep telling us you’ve got his phone number Gary. Call it!
