Sessi D’Almeida

What? A player released by Yeovil appearing on the list? Surely not, they went down didn’t they? What on earth am I thinking?

I’m thinking D’Ameida would be a really good signing for us. He’s a Benin international and a former Barnsley and Blackpool player who happened to move to Yeovil around the time of their collapse.

I liked him against us at their place, he’s got some composure on the ball and a decent tackle too. He didn’t play in the return game at Sincil Bank and they were worse off for it. I suspect his release is as much driven by wages as anything because he made 37 appearances for them through the season and was a key player.

Remember the Clucas analogy again please; just because he was at Yeovil doesn’t mean he’s rubbish. He spent his youth career with PSG and Bordeaux and is a ball player who can sit in front of the back four. I believe only Michael O’Connor plays that role at present, with Freck and Pett more advanced, so perhaps this wouldn’t be such a foolish move anyway.

I can still hear you groaning so we’ll move on.

  1. Interesting read Gary, personally I agree with Mandron. He’d be a good addition to the squad.
Understood Danny Cowley to have indicated he would be looking at National League and Non League, any thoughts on players from there?

  2. Facts about the manager is all we actually care about, especially now it’s reported he’s being interviewed by West Brom. You keep telling us you’ve got his phone number Gary. Call it!
