8: Alan Power

Only one player has held a squad number in the Imps team as long as Alan Power (assuming, of course, that the numbers started in 1993/94; otherwise, Dan McPhail‘s family might have something to say about it). He joined us as we slipped out of the league, left as we got back in and served the club with absolute distinction.

Lee Frecklington did have it for three seasons; he shifted to eight in 2008/09 and was awarded the shirt when he returned in 2017/18.
