4. Tyler Walker

The return of Tyler Walker should have been a triumphant homecoming. A proven goalscorer at Sincil Bank, he came back following his release by Coventry City, but injuries wrecked his second spell. Walker made just eight appearances, two of which came in late-season cameos after nearly 18 months out.
His only two league starts came under Mark Kennedy before a pre-season injury in Malaga curtailed everything. The club gambled, hoping he’d either shine or at least contribute. Instead, they got almost nothing, and while the situation wasn’t of his making, it was a costly and ultimately ineffective move.
